Founded in 1907 as Cambridge State Bank, our bank has deep roots in Southwest Nebraska. As a locally owned and operated institution, we are proud to serve our neighbors with personalized financial solutions and a commitment to exceptional service.
In 1992, the bank we now know as First Central Bank expanded its presence with additional locations in Arapahoe and Edison. In 1998, First Central Bank McCook was chartered, broadening our reach and services. By 2006, we added a loan production office in Curtis, and by 2017, Curtis evolved into a full-service bank.
Both chartered banks are locally owned by Central Bancshares, Inc., whose shareholders consist of local farmers, ranchers, business owners, and current and past employees. This deeply rooted local ownership structure ensures that our decisions and investments align with the values and needs of the communities we serve.
